marigold dot necklace

78.00

My dot collection is made by sifting crushed glass onto a dapped disc of fine silver. Once the surface is well coated I torch fire the disc to fuse the crushed glass to the silver creating an even surface. I repeat the process until the surface of the silver is well covered in a rich hue. After I solder a bail to the pendants I clean them to a satin sheen, string them on hand cut chain and solder on a handmade clasp.

This marigold dot is a buttery yellow which oxidizes slightly to give it a real garden look. The hue also reminds me of coreopsis I just planted in my garden.

The back has a satin finish, a nice contrast to the shiny enamel. It is about half an inch and hangs on a 16 inch chain.

If you have any questions or special requests please don't hesitate to ask me.
